I had a thought as I was hanging in the diaries today...
What if both supporters of Edwards and Obama and people who are undecided could all get together and have an informal discussion?
I picked these two candidates based on my observations over the past few weeks. I am not opposed to discussion about other candidates, but headlined E and O based on what I have seen and read.
I realize this may quickly degenerate into flame insanity. If it does, we can all go home and call it a day.
However, I think there are many DKosians who would welcome a chance to both influence the undecideds and speak to some common memes about their candidate, without the constraints and associated preconceptions of a formal diary.
With that intro, I propose:
If you are a strong supporter of a candidate, it may help everyone to know this. If it's not in your sig, maybe state it. Since this is an anonymous forum, I do hesitate to take people at their "word" about who they support, but we can make it work, I think.
Please try to address the question posed by someone and refrain from attacking other posters. This does not mean you cannot talk about the other candidates!! This has been one of my biggest frustrations lately. Feeling like I "only" can talk about Obama and not talk about why I picked him over any of the others.
Obviously, people make decisions based both on sound factual reasoning and sometimes that not-so-tangible "sense" thing. To discount that entirely seems unreasonable.
So ask your questions of the supporters out there, or make your case. Try not to be too wordy. If you have tons to say, post a diary. Super long comments are a drag, generally.
